Eurotel paid a fine

Company Eurotel Praha, spol. s r.o., paid a fine amounting to 48 million CZK for abuse of its dominant position, that was imposed by the decision of the Chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) Mr. Josef Bednář of May 2002.

Maturity of the fine was held off in 2002 by the High Court in Olomouc until the end of the judicial proceedings. The Supreme Administrative Court, which took over the case from the High Court, dismissed Eurotel´s legal action in December 2004. It was the fourth law suit against ÚOHS ruled by the Supreme Administrative Court in the area of competition in its history. In all cases, including the above mentioned case, the law suits were dismissed.
