Czech Medical Chamber fined 450.000 CZK
In 2001 the Chamber supplemented its “Catalogue of above-standard health care” by prices of ambulatory health care services. These prices were specified as recommended while the members of the Chamber were instructed to observe them. This constituted a breach of the Act on the Protection of Competition in the form of prohibited decision of association of undertakings that may lead to distortion of competition in the market for ambulatory health care services. The Chairman of the Office order in his decision the Czech Medical Chamber to amend all versions of the Catalogue and similar documents in such a way that they do not include either prices of the services or instructions on the method of their calculation.
