Exemption for Insurance pool prolonged
The duration of the exemption concerning the common conduct of the insurers in insuring guarantee for the case of bankruptcy of the travel agency was prolonged till the end of 2003. Nevertheless, the Chairman of the antimonopoly office set in his decision several significant conditions. The pool is not allowed to prevent its individual members from independent offering of provision of the guarantee for the case of bankruptcy of the travel agency. This condition relates also to the amount of insurance premium that may not be influenced by the pool. In the market there are insurance companies capable to provide the insurance of the guarantee independently. There is therefore no reason why the pool should restrict these undertakings in independent provision of the insurance of the guarantee. The following insurance companies were parties to the proceeding: Allianz, Česká podnikatelská pojišťovna, Česká pojišťovna, Generali, IPB, Kooperativa, Pojišťovna České spořitelny a UNIQA.
