Annual Report 2011
The year 2011 marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Office for the Protection of Competition. Compared to other such competition authorities worldwide, the Czech competition authority has one of the most extensive scope of competences.
In the year 2011 processed the Office more than 55 administrative proceedings in the area of competition in the last year and imposed fines ammounting to CZK 30 millions.
Within the field of public procurement, 710 first-instance decisions were delivered. Fines ammounting to CZK 28.8 million were imposed in 89 cases.
The Annual Report brings collection of the most significant cases of the Office as well as agenda planned for the year 2012.
