State Aid Day

On the occasion of the Czech Republic’s presidency of the European Union the Office for the Protection of Competition of the Czech Republic organized a conference called State Aid Day 2009. The purpose of the event was to set up a platform for informal meeting point and networking among the State Aid unit representatives.

The presentations of the European Commission’s experts as well as from the lecturers of State aid focused on following issues:

1. The role of the Member state in the State aid policy
2. Financial crisis and State aid
3. Latest development in State aid policy
